オランダにやってきて、4日目。
4 days have passed since I came to Holland.
Part3でも書いたとおり、もう景色の変わらない生活が4日目なのだ。
本当は、3日目に一回休もうと思っていた。
As I wrote in "Part3", it has been 4 days of same views.
To tell the truth, I wasn't going to write a blog on the third day.
しかし、オランダには、いろんなものがある、いろんなことが起きる。考え方を変えさせてくれる。
But Holland gives me new experiences, gives me many things, and even make me change my point of view.
悩んでいる時間なんてない。
I have no time to hesitate to write the blog.
休むわけにはいかないじゃないか。
I can't miss the blog.
今、自分の部屋は、4階の418号室だ。
Now I'm in my room, Room 418 on the 4th floor.
朝ご飯を食べようとエレベーターで1階へ、すると途中で、若者が一人乗ってきた。
When I got an elevator to the first floor to have breakfast in morning, I met a young guy in there.
階を確認すると“１階”の表示、あわてて降りると、いやいや、フロントやロビーがない。もう一度、表示をチェックすると、“1階”。
The elevator showed "1", so I got off. But there weren't the lobby lounge or the front desk which should be. I looked at the display again. It did say "1".
戸惑っていると、さっきの若者が、1の下のＢを押す。
While I was at a loss, the young guy pressed a button "B".
Ｂの階の扉が開く。すると、そこにはフロントやロビーがあるじゃないか。
The elevator stopped at "B" floor. Hey, there are the lobby and the front desk!
Why Netherland’s people?
(Note: there is a famous phrase of a comedian in Japan, Atsugiri-Jasnon (who's from America), "Why Japanese people!?")
地上からと同じ高さのところは、古今東西、1階っていうだろ？
Wasn't it the world's rule that the floor on the same height as ground is "1st" floor?
日本の皆さん、ご注意あれ。
Watch out, Japanese people.
Ｂでなく0の場合もあります。そういうものらしいです。
Sometimes it's "0" instead of "B". I learnt a big thing.
